Mobile tyre service
We carry the sizes that move international freight: 315/80 R22.5 steer and drive, 385/65 R22.5 trailer and 295/80 R22.5. Every van has a high-tonnage jack, impact gun and torque wrench, so wheel nuts go back on at the correct torque rather than by feel. If the inner tyre on a twin has blown, we change it without stripping the whole axle.
A truck tyre runs at 8 to 9 bar carrying several tonnes per corner. At that pressure a sidewall cut or slow puncture gives no warning: it shows up as gradual pressure loss that the TPMS only flags once the casing has already rolled damaged for kilometres.
Roadside work demands judgement: not every damage can legally be patched. Regulations allow repairs to tread-area punctures up to a certain size; a sidewall cut or deformed casing means replacement, and doing that properly means carrying the right size and load index on the van.
What never to do
- Do not keep running on a blown twin — it destroys the other one
- Do not tighten nuts without a torque wrench
- Do not attempt it yourself without chocks and firm ground
- Repeated pressure loss. The same wheel asking for air weekly is almost always a slow leak or tired valve.
How it works
We start by measuring pressure and temperature across every wheel on the affected axle, not just the suspect one. Once the leak is found, the wheel comes off if the damage requires it, gets repaired or replaced with a matched, correctly-rated tyre, and we finish by balancing the axle and recording tread depths for the job sheet.

Repair vs replace. A patch costs a fraction of a new 315/70-size tyre.
Check pressures weekly when cold with your own gauge, not the forecourt one. And treat new vibrations at 80–90 km/h seriously: it is usually an imbalance or deformed casing still cheap to fix.
